<p>Refurbed is an Austrian online marketplace for high-quality refurbished electrical appliances and was founded in 2017 by Peter Windischhofer, Kilian Kaminski and Jürgen Riedl in Vienna. The production of new electronic devices leads to enormous CO2 emissions, resource consumption and results in a lot of electronic waste. Refurbed aims to enable a sustainable and risk-free purchase of electronic devices. Currently, Refurbed sells not only classic electronic devices such as smartphones and laptops, but also household appliances such as hoovers or coffee machines. The company buys used electronic products in large quantities. The refurbishment process is then carried out by licensed manufacturers or vendors. These are controlled and checked by Refurbed. The finished refurbished product is distributed via the Refurbed platform and shipped directly to the consumer by the manufacturer. All devices have a 30-day free trial period and a 12-month warranty. They also cost on average 40% less than new products and contribute to a more sustainable planet.</p>
